Trailers at Work and Play

Through the years that Single Wheel trailers have been produced, they have been put to work for....... If you have any info on this trailer assembly, feel free to drop me a line and tell more.
Single Wheel Tank Trailer - Maybe you've seen this before - in WW2 Britain experimented with a single-wheel trailer for tanks to carry extra fuel and as I saw one on a recent visit to the UK Tank Museum I thought you might like to see them (sorry, camera phone in a dim exhibition hall only) Andrew
Jay Hinkhouse of Ames, IA gave me a heads up about the Cascade Levitator. Cascade Levitator
The Levitator represents a significant leap forward in patient transport capability in non-traditional environments. The Levitator may be used manually with as few as two attendants or as a trailer, towed behind an ATV, snowmobile, truck, or other rescue vehicle at speeds up to 30 mph. Adjustable handles can accommodate attendants of any height and fold down to make the Levitator self-standing for storage or for use as a trailer. Pneumatically adjustable suspension can be adjusted to accommodate varying patient weight for a controlled, comfortable ride. Key Features: •Dual disk brakes •360° pivoting on any surface •Single wheel with optional ski system •Pneumatically Adjustable Suspension •Stable transport system reduces potential rescuer injury •Accepts any litter, back board or rescue toboggan •Standard receiver hitch included •May be used as an equipment utility trailer Weight: 80 lbs 0 oz (36.290 kg)
While surfing the web, we found this Solido Special Edition.
While surfing the web, I found this website, http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/199468. This is a single wheel trailer. It's strange but it's very cool easy to tow, fairly small and light. I've built this single wheel trailer a few months after I built my VW Beetle. It features a removable lid and a flexible pipe for the light cord. My VW Beetle has a custom built hitch for towing it! These pics were taken with my DSi camera. I will add better pics when I have a better camera!
Uhm...This picture was included in a group of funny pictures and we felt it had a place here.
While surfing Google Books we came across this article from Popular Mechanics, February 1944 article. The trailer, in this article, carries the charcoal burning apparatus that enables this vehicle to run without conventional gas and runs on charcoal.
